Christine Bleakley has admitted that she is in "no hurry" to marry Frank Lampard.

The Daybreak presenter previously stated that she is "not sitting waiting" for a proposal from the Chelsea footballer. However, speaking to She magazine, Bleakley confessed that Lampard does joke about settling down.

"Technically, I should be the last person to know it because it's up to him to do the asking," she said. "I can't imagine not being with him. He jokingly talks about the marriage thing, but I'm in no hurry. I'm very happy the way that we are."

On having children with Lampard, she commented: "He'd have babies in the morning. He's a brilliant daddy, he really is. It's one of the things that attracted me to him. And so, yeah, I think he'd be very happy about it.

"I have another couple of years of getting up at 3 o'clock in the morning. But definitely would like to do it."

In her interview with Kay Burley, Bleakley revealed that there had been an instant "spark" between the pair when they first met at the Pride of Britain awards 18 months ago.

"My first thought was he's much taller than I imagined," she said. "He said, 'I watch the One Show all the time'. There was definitely a spark. I was very cautious, because I read newspapers. Sadly footballers, whether good or bad, come with a certain stereotype."
