Stand-up comedian Gallagher has been hospitalised after collapsing on-stage during a performance on Thursday.
According to TMZ, the prop comic - real name Leo Gallagher Jr - fell to the ground while clutching his chest during a gig at the Whiskey Bones Road House in Rochester, MN last night and was immediately rushed to a local medical facility.
Medical professionals were reportedly in the audience for the comedy show and aided Gallagher until an ambulance arrived to transport the star for treatment at St Mary's Hospital.
The comic's rep confirmed to the website that Gallagher is still feeling weak this morning, but is in good spirits. Doctors have not yet determined the cause of Gallagher's collapse.
Gallagher first began performing comedy during the early 1970s and later became popular after he began to close his stage act by smashing objects such as watermelons with a sledgehammer.
