Summit Entertainment's official Twilight Saga Facebook page has released a statement reporting that filming on the movie has been delayed and that the cast and crew are "safe and sound".
"Due to the tsunami advisory, filming of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn has been delayed. All cast and crew were evacuated to the movie production's base camp. Everyone is safe and sound," read the statement.
A tsunami advisory is currently in effect for North America's west coast. The earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan earlier today are now said to be impacting the area.
Twilight actress Tinsel Korey, who plays Emily, tweeted the following this morning: "They're evacuating us 4 a tsunami warning. If this … is my last my tweet. I love you. The end. Hugz (sic)."
The 30-year-old later tweeted: "If this is the moment. Then I've lived a good life. And I'm thankful 4 everything I've been given."
Some weather reports are only predicting waves up to a metre high in the area.
