Jennifer Lopez to front jewellery campaign

Jennifer Lopez has been named the new face of jewellery brand Tous.

The 'On The Floor' singer and American Idol judge will front the Spanish company's upcoming spring 2011 campaign, it has been announced.

Rosa Tous, who designed the collection with husband Salvador, said in a statement that she is "absolutely delighted" to be working with Lopez.

"Jennifer is not just an amazingly beautiful woman, but also a talented actress, musician and dancer, sharing with us strong family values as we are a family-owned business," added Salvador. "We are confident that Jennifer Lopez will be a great spokesperson as she is genuine and endlessly charismatic; a great illustration of our brand."

Lopez - who joked that she is thrilled to be working on the campaign because all women love diamonds - will be photographed by Ellen Von Unwerth.

The actress joined American Idol as a judge alongside Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler for its tenth season this year, which currently airs Wednesday and Thursday nights on Fox. Her new album Love? is scheduled for release later this year.
