John Krasinski: 'Blunt understands me'

John Krasinski has suggested that the success of his marriage to Emily Blunt is due in part to her understanding of the hectic lifestyle that actors and actresses must endure.

In an interview with Parade, Krasinski asserted that Blunt is his ideal life partner.

"I had always heard, 'Never date an actress - it's too competitive, too dramatic', but we're so lucky to have each other," he said.

The Office star went on to praise his spouse for taking a similar approach to their shared profession.

"She understands the stress level involved, the amount of work," he added. "That's completely priceless. For many reasons, Emily is perfect for me."

The couple tied the knot last summer in a private ceremony in Italy.

The Office returns with new episode 'Garage Sale' on March 24 on NBC.
