Star of fly-on-the-wall TV show The Model Agency Carole White has backed disgraced designer John Galliano to return to the fashion industry.

Galliano was sacked by Dior after he was recorded making anti-Semitic statements in a Paris restaurant. He later apologised for the comments and was charged by the French authorities.

White, the founder of Premier Model Management, told the Evening Standard: "It was in pretty bad taste. I don't really want to go into it. It was quite astonishing."

Asked if he can return to the industry, she added: "100%. Definitely. He's so talented. You can't waste a talent like that. He is obviously getting some help now. And he will bounce back. Maybe even better."

White also predicted that Kate Moss will still wear a dress designed by Galliano at her upcoming wedding despite the widespread criticism following his outburst.
