Mel B: 'I want to have a baby this year'

Mel B has admitted that she is eager to have another baby.

The former Spice Girl raises three children with her husband Stephen Belafonte - her daughters Phoenix, 12, and Angel, 3, from previous relationships, and his 6-year-old daughter Giselle - but the pair are now hoping to have a child together.

She told Reveal: "I'm always broody. Hopefully, I'm going to be pregnant by the end of this year, or, if not, next year. I love kids."

Mel B and Belafonte were friends for years before becoming an item and the singer said that this has made their relationship stronger.

She explained: "What's the key to a happy marriage? I married my best friend. We've been mates for ten years."

The 35-year-old insisted that she has always felt comfortable with Belafonte.

She added: "It was never awkward because we knew each other so well. I can see how it could be awkward, but for us it was just funny."

Mel B recently revealed that she is happy living in Los Angeles.
