Gough passed away this week at the age of 94.
The screen star played Alfred Pennyworth to Keaton's Bruce Wayne in Tim Burton's 1990s films Batman and Batman Returns.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Keaton said: "To Mick - my butler, my confidant, my friend, my Alfred. I love you. God bless."
Keaton signed the statement: "Michael (Mr Wayne) Keaton."
Gough played Alfred in four Batman movies, including Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.
Elsewhere, the actor was known for playing The Celestial Toymaker in Doctor Who in 1966. He also voiced the villain Parasite in the animated film All-Star Superman.
