Nicky Hilton ticketed for cell phone use

A police officer ticketed Nicky Hilton in Los Angeles on Thursday, it has been reported.

According to TMZ, Paris Hilton's sister was pulled over in a residential neighbourhood for driving while talking on her cell phone and texting.

The heiress was ticketed and could be fined up to $100 (£62) for the offence.

Drivers in California are required by law to use a hands-free mobile device while driving.

Last month, Nicky, who has previously modelled at the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival, was in attendance at Paris's 30th birthday party.
