Coleen 'goes on holiday to escape Wayne'

Coleen Rooney has flown to Barbados with her family to reportedly escape her increasingly troubled marriage to Wayne.

The WAG was apparently "wounded to the core" after the footballer was caught visiting prostitutes behind her back and is still punishing him.

She is said to be retreating from public life because she "feels people are sniggering about her" and is spending more time with her parents Tony and Colette - much to the annoyance of Wayne, the Sunday Mirror reports.

"Wayne knows he's done wrong but he is starting to think there's only so long he can eat humble pie," a source said. "Tony and Colette are from a proper working class family with old-fashioned values and they just can't forgive him, particularly as he was caught before with prostitutes.

"When Wayne goes out he rings in to tell Coleen where he is. She doesn't like him hanging around with his team mates and hates him drinking. He is one of the most successful, famous and rich footballers in the world. He sees his team mates going out and enjoying ­themselves, but he feels he can't join in.

"He absolutely adores Coleen and [son] Kai and he would never walk away from them, but in his very darkest moments that is something he has considered. He thinks a brother or sister for Kai will help the whole family move on. But Coleen isn't ready."

A spokesperson said: "Coleen is taking a long-planned break with her family to get some winter sunshine as she has done in previous years."
