Beth Ditto: 'Elton John will buy his youth'

Beth Ditto has said that Elton John's age won't be a problem while he raises his new son Zachary, as the singer is so rich that he can afford to buy back his youth.

The Gossip singer admitted that she was initially surprised that John wanted to become a first-time father at the age of 63, but later realised that his enormous wealth meant that it wouldn't be such a strain.

"I did think he was going to be an old dad, but he's got the money to stay young," Ditto told Bang Showbiz, when asked about John's new role as a father.

"New kidney? You got it. New heart? Done," Ditto joked.

John and his husband David Furnish became parents to Zachary on Christmas Day 2010 via a surrogate mother.

The 'Candle In The Wind' singer recently claimed that he didn't intend to spoil Zachary, despite his own luxurious lifestyle.
