DJs including Chris Evans, Jonathan Ross and Zane Lowe have been nominated for the Sony Radio Awards, due to take place on May 8.
Evans, who recently made his radio comeback on BBC Radio 2 after his previous ignominious departure from Virgin Radio, has been nominated for the entertainment award as well as music radio personality of the year.
Other hosts up for the personality award include Lauren Laverne and Jamie Theakston, whilst competition in the entertainment category comes from Jonathan Ross, Chris Moyles and Danny Baker amongst others.
Sony Radio Academy Awards committee chairman Tim Blackmore noted: "The accelerating rate of change within our industry is reflected in the way these awards have kept pace across almost a quarter of a century. The enthusiastic support for the Sonys from all sectors of UK radio is evidenced by an outstanding year in which the overall number of entries has increased."
