Lindsay Lohan's father 'arrested in LA'

Lindsay Lohan's father has been arrested in Los Angeles, according to reports.

Michael Lohan was taken into custody on Monday night following an alleged altercation with a woman believed to be his girlfriend, says The AP.

The newsagency reports that the arrest was connected to an apparent dispute in West Hollywood, in which Lohan is accused of holding the unnamed woman against her will and preventing her from calling the authorities.

A representative for the 50-year-old, who is reported to be appearing in the upcoming season of Celebrity Rehab, has yet to comment on the reports.

Lohan, who separated from Lindsay's mother Dina back in 2005, was reportedly held on $200,000 (£122,000) bail.
