Sixth 'Harry Potter' wins 'book of the year'

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has been named book of the year.

The sixth book in JK Rowling's series of seven won at the British Book Awards over Jamie Oliver's Italy, as well as numerous autobiographies.

Rowling noted: "I'm delighted that Harry Potter continues to give so much pleasure to adults and children, and I'm honoured to receive this award. I'm enjoying writing the last book in the series and it's coming along nicely."
