The 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' singer is now on tour in Japan and is raising money for disaster relief efforts.
Lauper took to Twitter to tell her fans of the inspiring people that she has met and seen in Japan.
"The shows have been enlightening. The strength and dignity of the people here have been inspiring. I hope we helped them feel better," Lauper tweeted on Friday.
The popstar has urged fans to donate to the Red Cross, Save the Children and Japan Society to help the country rebuild.
On Monday, she expressed gratitude towards her Japanese fans for their warm reception.
"Miss my family but have my music family and the warmth of the peeps I sing to. Tonight I will loose (sic) myself in the music and the rhythm," she tweeted.
A video of Lauper performing for delayed passengers at a Buenos Aires airport appeared online earlier this month.
