Russell Crowe has bought a new house, it has been reported.

The Oscar-winning actor, who has 7-year-old Charlie and 4-year-old Tennyson with wife Danielle Spencer, is believed to have spent $10 million (£6.2m) on a Sydney property after four years of searching.

According to AFP, Crowe's new six-bedroom home is located in Rose Bay and overlooks Royal Sydney Golf Club.

Last year, Crowe allegedly put an offer in on the Woollahra mansion belonging to French ambassador John Spender and fashion designer Carla Zampatti. He also apparently viewed the childhood home of Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon.

At the time, a Sydney real estate agent said that Crowe "doesn't know what he wants" when it comes to property.

The Gladiator star also owns a luxury apartment in Sydney and a country homestead near Coffs Harbour.
