The legendary actress passed away following congestive heart failure at a hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday. She was 79-years-old.
Kardashian interviewed the actress for an edition of Harper's Bazaar earlier this year, and also recreated her iconic Cleopatra style for an accompanying photoshoot. Taylor's final message on Twitter expressed her excitement at the piece being published.
In a post on her official website, Kardashian said that spending time with Taylor had been "one of the greatest highlights of [her] life".
"I never felt so lucky and fortunate. It was truly the greatest honour and dream of mine to be the iconic 'Elizabeth Taylor' for one day!" she wrote. "As I got to know her, I saw her beauty both inside and out, loved her humour and business mind, and her spirit for life was truly amazing and contagious."
She added: "I am so very grateful to have had this amazing and phenomenal experience personally with my lifetime idol, Dame Elizabeth Taylor."
