Vanessa Minnillo 'doesn't want to rush kids'

Vanessa Minnillo has revealed that she and fiancé Nick Lachey are not ready to have children.

The TV presenter and singer explained that she realises having kids is a big commitment and doesn't want to rush into it.

When asked about having children on The Rachael Ray Show, Minnillo replied: "Let's do it one chapter at a time, why rush? We have the rest of our lives."

The 30-year-old stressed that parenting is not a part-time job.

She added: "If you have children, once they're there, they're there. You can't say, 'I don't think I want to deal with you today.' No, they're there!"

Minnillo also revealed that she won't be letting Lachey organise the wedding as he'll turn the ceremony into a "sporting event".
