It was claimed earlier this week that the majority of the Lohan family, aside from Michael, are intending to revert back to Dina Lohan's maiden name Sullivan, while Lindsay herself simply wants to be referred to by her first name from now on.
Michael Lohan has vehemently denied the validity of these claims, and suggests that they are just more lies being told by his ex-wife Dina Lohan.
"I don't think it's true at all," Lohan explained to CNN . "I would never imagine any of my kids changing their name, especially Lindsay."
When asked why he was so sure that the rumours were false, Lohan insisted that he had heard from Lindsay herself to clarify the situation.
He added: "I got word from Lindsay. Dina has said a lot of things over the years that have never come to fruition."
Michael Lohan was charged with a misdemeanor for domestic violence earlier this week, for an alleged altercation with his live-in girlfriend Kate Major.
