Duff McKagan: 'Justin Bieber is a rock star'

Former Guns 'N Roses member Duff McKagan has praised Justin Bieber as being a "true rocker".

McKagan admitted that although many are skeptical about the popstar, he has been impressed by Bieber's musical talent and ability to put on a good show.

"Do you know what? Justin's a rocker," he said, according to Bang Showbiz. "Man, he actually sings at his gigs, and the band's a real band, and he plays drums and he's f**king great."

McKagan also said that he first heard about the Canadian star through his two daughters, and admitted that he wouldn't be adverse to going to see Bieber live on tour.

"I take them to every gig they want to go to. Justin Bieber concert - great. Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift," the Velvet Revolver bassist added.

Bieber's recent full-length feature Never Say Never has overtaken Michael Jackson's This Is It as the most successful domestic concert film.

McKagan recently downplayed reports that Velvet Revolver had tapped Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor to take over as the band's new singer.
