Last week, it was reported that the 'Detroit Rock City' star was in the midst of his first visit to Israel since moving from the country to the US as a child.
In an interview with The AP, Simmons affirmed that his belief in harmony has not been not deterred by last week's suicide bombing in Jerusalem, which injured more than 20 people.
"We can't give these losers headline," he said. "There's one thing that unites Israelis, Arabs and all humanity: we all strive to be free."
The rocker went on to say that he believes that a new generation of Arabs are committed to attaining positive relations with their Israeli neighbors.
"There's a new generation of Arabs who are doing astonishing things," he added. "We have to take a moment to honour Arabs for having the courage to stand up."
