'Jackass' Steve-O arrested on weapons charge

Steve-O has been arrested in Western Canada on an outstanding weapons charge.

The Jackass 3D star - real name Stephen Gilchrist Glover- was apprehended yesterday by authorities in Calgary International Airport on an outstanding warrant for assault with a weapon.

A law enforcement source has since confirmed that Steve-O has been released from police custody, reports QMI.

"He was taken down to our arrest processing centre yesterday and appeared before a justice of the [peace] and released on a $10,000 (£6,240) cash bail," Inspector Keith Caine said.

Steve-O had been in Canada to perform three comedy shows at Calgary's Laugh Shop venue.

The former Dancing with the Stars competitor was previously arrested and charged with cocaine possession in LA in 2008. He later avoided jail time by entering a treatment programme.

It was recently reported that the reality star has inked a deal to pen a biography titled Professional Idiot, which is scheduled to be released in June.
