Rick Ross arrested for drug possession

Rick Ross has been arrested at a hotel in Louisiana for illegal possession of marijuana, according to reports.

Police spokesman Bill Goodin revealed that the rapper - real name William Roberts II - was arrested on Friday, and was released today with misdemeanour summons.

Ross was arrested at the Hilton Hotel after police responded to a complaint about the smell of marijuana, reports ABC News. Police then found and seized one gram of the drug from the rapper's room.

The star's most famous releases include Teflon Don and Deeper than Rap. He recently appeared on Kanye West's album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. He is also expected to join Nicki Minaj and Lil' Wayne on her 'I Am Music II' tour.
