Jessica Simpson confirms 'X Factor' talks

In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, Simpson said that she has been approached to join Simon Cowell's forthcoming singing competition as a judge.
"They have definitely talked to me about X Factor. I think it would be a lot of fun," the 30-year-old said.
She added: "It's definitely my life. To be a mentor for up-and-coming artists is right up my alley. I would have loved to have a mentor. I love watching people's dreams come true."
Simpson, who also said that she and fiancé Eric Johnson might elope, previously denied speculation that she was in talks to join The X Factor.
X Factor USA executive producer Rob Wade recently told Digital Spy that he hopes to have a full judging panel finalised by April.
Cowell and former Island Def Jam record label chairman L.A. Reid are currently the only confirmed judges.
