Tom Cruise is 'on-set control freak'

Jonathan Rhys Myers has revealed the strict rules imposed when working on a film with Tom Cruise.

The actor, who starred alongside Cruise in forthcoming sequel Mission Impossible III, said that Cruise ran "a very tight ship".

"I was nervous," Rhys Myers revealed. "Luckily, I don't drink because you do NOT turn up to a Tom Cruise film set hungover.

"You do not turn up late and you don't muck around. He will not stand for any s**t. He lives by his rules. Tom is first on set. He's strict with himself and everyone he works with."

The Bend it Like Beckham star was impressed with Cruise' adopted kids Isabella, 13, and Connor, 11, however.

"Connor and Isabella are so nice and really witty," he added. "The funny thing is you expect them to be really smartly dressed but they rock up on set in the scruffiest shoes - scruffy hair, oversize T-shirt and jeans with holes in."
