Damien Leith becomes dad for third time

Damien Leith has become a father again.

The Daily Telegraph reports that the former Australian Idol winner, who is best known for his 2006 number one hit 'Night Of My Life', welcomed daughter Kikki Bo Leith late on Saturday.

Leith wrote on his Twitter and Facebook pages: "Hey guys, we have some great news - we have a new member of the Leith family... Eileen gave birth to our beautiful baby girl late this afternoon. Mum and baby are doing well.

"Thanks to everyone for all the well wishes - we really appreciate it! All our babies have been born around a new album release!"

Leith already has 6-year-old Jarvis Dion and 3-year-old Jagger Ramone with wife Eileen Stapleton.

Last year, when the musician revealed his wife's pregnancy, he said that they couldn't wait to have another child. "We'd been talking about wanting a bigger family, because we love being parents," he said. "Then we went away to Adelaide and it felt like something had already happened.

"Eileen said, 'No way, it's too soon.' But we went out and bought a test and it was positive! It's really exciting. It's all about family, that's the most important thing. Eileen and I both have three siblings, so I guess it was always on the cards that we wouldn't stop at two children."

Leith's album, Roy: A Tribute To Roy Orbison, is scheduled for release in two weeks.
