Green appeared alongside Gwyneth Paltrow at the Grammys in February, wearing a feathered costume inspired by John's appearance on The Muppet Show.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, he said: "People don't pay me to be normal. I'm natural, but I'm also super. I'm super-natural! When you combine those words, it gives things a new spin.
"People used to look at me in an odd way. Maybe I looked peculiar. But now I'm seen as being cool. Who'd have thought that would be the case? Who'd have thought Elton John could be reincarnated as a bald-headed black man?"
Green also described how he was inspired as a young man by watching the video for Peter Gabriel's hit 'Shock the Monkey', in which the former Genesis singer appears daubed in face paint.
"That video drove me crazy," said Green. "It scared me, but it also touched a soft centre. Because of my circumstances, I had adopted a tough exterior. But that song showed me I had a sensitive side, too.
"I saw myself in this strange video. It showed me I could learn from the showmanship of Peter Gabriel, Elton and Boy George."
Green recently revealed that he is happy with his size and also claimed to have more sex than the average man.
