Kwanten was reportedly the first to lend his assistance to a visibly injured man found lying at a busy intersection in Hollywood.
"There was a bloody guy lying in the middle of the street at Hollywood and Highland and no one was doing anything," a witness told Just Jared. "Ryan [Kwanten] pulled up, saw the man down, jumped out of his car, and raced over to see if he could help."
The source claimed that Kwanten began urgently shouting at people passing by to help him move the man off the road, and that the actor remained on the scene until an ambulance arrived.
"There was a crowd gathering and people recognised Ryan, but he was just focused on making sure this guy was okay," they added.
Kwanten was named GQ Magazine's 'Man Of The Year' in December 2010.
No further information has been released as to the injured man's identity, condition or what caused his predicament.
