Justin Bieber saves mother from fire

Justin Bieber has revealed that he saved his mother after her hair caught on fire this weekend.

Bieber tweeted that Pattie Mallette had the accident while on stage in Berlin, after the singer brought out a cake to celebrate her birthday.

"[S]ick show in Berlin…brought @studiomama on stage 2 sing her happy bday but she lit her hair on fire with the candles. lol. i saved her (sic)," Bieber wrote.

Mallette confirmed the incident on Twitter, thanking her son for the cake as well as the ensuing embarrassment.

"Thank you all for your b-day wishes!! All I want is your prayers!! Thank u @justinbieber for the cake (& embarrassing me on stage lol). Xo (sic)," she said.

Bieber's rumoured girlfriend Selena Gomez recently revealed that she was open to a duet with the Canadian popstar.

Craig David has also said that he would be open to recording with Bieber.
