Delta Goodrem thanks fans for support

Delta Goodrem has thanked her fans for their "support".

The Australian singer, who released a joint statement with Brian McFadden last week announcing that they had mutually decided to end their seven-year relationship, said that they still have a "special bond".

Goodrem wrote on her Twitter page: "Thanks for all the support of @brianmcfadden and I - we will always have a special bond and great memories. No one can take that from us."

Earlier this week, McFadden wrote: "I love delta and always will. She is one of gods living angels. I thank her for giving me the best years of my life. Please give us time (sic)"

Yesterday, he took to the micro-blogging site to rant about the media being "unhappy with the truth" and inventing "rumours to create content".

Goodrem was rumoured to have developed a close relationship with a music industry colleague, but her representative labelled the reports "hurtful" and "completely fabricated".

The Irish former boyband member was spotted at a Bondi Junction garage yesterday after flattening the tyre on his Range Rover trying to avoid the paparazzi. As the cameramen offered him a 'sorry' beer, McFadden revealed that he was heading to a "party in a penthouse".
