David Arquette celebrates 100 days sober

David Arquette has announced that he has gone 100 days without consuming alcohol.

The actor, who split from wife Courteney Cox last October, took to Twitter to celebrate his months of sobriety.

"I have 100 days of Sobriety today!!! Life is beautiful," the 39-year-old tweeted on Thursday afternoon.

Arquette recently said that he felt fortunate to survive a car crash without serious injury.

"I'm really just thankful to be alive and that the woman that I hit wasn't seriously injured and there weren't any kids in the cars and stuff like that," Arquette explained previously.

Arquette will reprise the role of Dewey Riley in Scream 4, opening April 15.

Director Wes Craven previously said that the horror sequel's plot will reflect the rise of the internet.
