Eva Longoria: 'My divorce was heartbreaking'

Eva Longoria has described the end of her marriage to Tony Parker as 'heartbreaking'.

The Desperate Housewives star became emotional on Piers Morgan Tonight, saying that it was the first time she had spoken publicly about their separation. The former couple's divorce was finalised in January.

She said: "It's the first time I'm talking about it, so I'm sorry - it was heartbreaking... I think it was disappointing because I had such an identity in being 'Mrs Parker', and being a wife, and so when that's taken away from you, you [think], 'Who am I?' It was hard."

Morgan apologised to the actress, saying: "I didn't know you'd react like this, because I wasn't aware it was the first time."

Longoria laughed and responded: "Neither did I!" She had previously revealed in a magazine interview that she wanted to cry every time she talked about the split.

Longoria further explained that she does not harbour any bad feeling towards her ex-husband.

"He just wanted something else and I don't hate him for it," she revealed. "I would never speak publicly about what happened or why we got divorced because I love him and we still talk, we are in each other's lives."
