Gael García Bernal welcomes daughter

Gael García Bernal has become a father for the second time.

The Mexican actor's girlfriend Delores Fonzi gave birth to a daughter called Libertad earlier this week.

"We share with you that our daughter was born," Bernal wrote on Twitter, according to People. "Libertad, her name. Libertad!"

"After the greatest week of my life, it's getting even better, I thank you infinitely for your congratulations," the actor later added.

Bernal announced Fonzi's pregnancy in Septemberlast year, with the couple already parents to 2-year-old son Lázaro.

The actor is best known for starring in the Academy Award-nominated films Y Tu Mamá También, The Motorcycle Diaries and Babel, and most recently starred opposite Kate Hudson in the romantic comedy A Little Bit of Heaven.
