Jada Pinkett Smith: 'Willow is a born rebel'

Jada Pinkett Smith has claimed that she doesn't worry about her daughter Willow's choices in life because the two are uncannily similar.

Smith said that although she herself had an unusual upbringing and was rebellious in her teens, she is there for Willow to guide her through the early stages of fame.

"My daughter is a born rebel like me," Smith said, according to Bang Showbiz. "Willow is so me it's not true.

"But being a rebel isn't a problem, as long as you have someone to guide you, and we are with our kids all the time."

The Matrix Reloaded actress said that she feels "blessed" to be able to bring up her daughter, but also admitted to being somewhat jealous of the teen popstar's early success.

"I tell her all the time that I would like to be ten again and go to fashion shows, to perform, act, have all these opportunities," Smith added.

10-year-old Willow Smith released her debut track 'Whip My Hair' in 2010, and starred opposite her father in the 2007 film I Am Legend.

Will Smith confirmed earlier this year that he is planning a remake of the Broadway musical Annie, with his daughter playing the lead role.
