Phillippe revealed that he believes that being there for 11-year-old Ava and 7-year-old Deacon is important to ensure that they are grounded as individuals when they grow up.
"I imagine it would have been more difficult if we weren't as hands-on as we were or allowed them to be raised by nannies," Phillippe said, according to Bang Showbiz. "I think then they would become assholes."
"But you're constantly educating them, we have two incredible little people that we've raised," the actor continued. "I'm proud of us for that fact."
Phillippe also revealed that his children are aware of how fortunate they are to be raised in a household where money isn't necessarily an issue.
The Lincoln Lawyer star has previously admitted that he sees becoming a father as his greatest achievement.
