DJ Samantha Ronson 'crashes bike'

DJ Samantha Ronson was injured in a bike accident on Saturday.

Earlier today, Lindsay Lohan's former girlfriend tweeted a picture of herself showing the extent of the damage. Ronson was required to get nine stitches for the injury.

"Let this be a lesson... if you have a driver's license you probably don't need to be on a bmx bike (sic)," she wrote. The photograph was captioned "Wear a helmet, kids!"

Ronson went on to tell followers that the accident occurred when she was trying to avoid a car, denying earlier press reports that she had been hit by a vehicle.

She also posted a link to the video for brother Mark's track 'The Bike Song', joking that she had been trying to recreate the clip when the accident happened.

The DJ's dog was recently banned from West Hollywood after allegedly killing another pet in Ronson's apartment building.

Lohan and Ronson have been getting on well in the past few months. The troubled actress moved in next door to Ronson after leaving the Betty Ford Clinic in January. Since then, the two have been spotted at dinner together.
