Lara Bingle invests in Torquay restaurant

Lara Bingle has become a restaurateur.

The Australian swimwear model, who used to date Australian cricketer Michael Clarke, decided to invest in Torquay cafe Growlers after having a business meeting with its owner Darryn Lyons in February.

Bingle's manager Titus Day told The Daily Telegraph: "She is invested in Lyons's vision to roll out a chain of the Growlers restaurants around the country."

Bingle revealed that she wants to promote the restaurant by asking famous friends such as actress Teresa Palmer to frequent it.

She said: "I do have lots of friends in the same industry and I'm sure they'll come down. I just love it because it's a beach area and kind of represents what I am. I love Torquay and the Surf Coast and look forward to spending time there."

Growlers, which is located near Bells Beach on the Victorian coast, is a popular celebrity haunt.

Bingle recently agreed to take part in reality TV show Dancing With The Stars alongside Home and Away actor Dan Ewing, singer Damien Leith and celebrity chef Manu Feildel.
