William Shatner announces new LP tracklisting

The LP is titled Searching For Major Tom and will include covers of songs by artists such as Elton John ('Rocket Man'), David Bowie ('Space Oddity') and Peter Frampton and The Byrds ('Mr. Spaceman'), according to the star's official website.
The Star Trek actor has also recorded covers of 'In a Little While' by U2, 'She Blinded Me With Science' by Thomas Dolby, and Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.
Other artists represented in the set will include Steve Miller, Golden Earring, Frank Sinatra, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and Duran Duran.
It was previously reported that Shatner would collaborate with a number of rockers on the metal LP, including Frampton, Mike Inez, Steve Howe of Yes, Ian Paice of Deep Purple, Brian May of Queen and Bootsy Collins.
Searching For Major Tom will be released later this year. The LP will mark mark Shatner's first album since 2004's Has Been.
The former Captain Kirk recently said that he doesn't believe he will be asked to make an appearance in the Star Trek sequel.
