Jodie Sweetin: 'Kids unaware of addiction'

Jodie Sweetin has opened up about the difficulties of talking to her children about her struggles with alcohol and meth addiction.

Sweetin, who starred on Full House as Stephanie Tanner, spoke to People about dealing with her addictions, saying that she hopes she has left them behind her.

"[My struggles are] pretty much in the past," she said. "Hopefully, it'll never be anything my kids have to be a part of. I wish I hadn't gone through that, but I did."

Sweetin went on to say that though her children are unaware of her previous problems, she plans to tell them in the future.

"I've been really open about what I've gone through in general, so if they ask me about it, I'll be open with them, too," she said.

Sweetin recently became engaged to boyfriend Morty Coyle. The couple have one child together.
