Rav Wilding confirms Chantelle Houghton split

Rav Wilding has confirmed that his relationship with Chantelle Houghton is over.

The Crimewatch and One Show correspondent used his Twitter account to address speculation after photographs of the pair having an argument in Richmond Park appeared in the Sunday papers.

"Sadly Chantelle & I are no longer in a relationship as I've had to draw a line under it," he wrote.

"It's been a really difficult week and a lot has gone on, & I appreciate everyone's kind words. The relationship wasn't what I wanted so badly and wasn't the genuine thing I thought it was (sic)."

Wilding also encouraged people to take press reports with a pinch of salt.

"It's so upsetting as I genuinely & truly loved Chantelle, but the publicity side isn't always reflective of the truth," he added.

"All I ask is that you don't believe everything that's written, and thanks again to everyone who's been in touch - means a lot."

He also personally thanked a number of followers who had left messages for him.

Wilding and Houghton began dating in December 2010.
