Richard E Grant has spoken about his troubled childhood.
The Withnail and I star says his father was an alcoholic and would frequently take out his upset on Grant after he had been drinking.
He explained: "Alcohol changed his character, like Jekyll and Hyde. He wasn't himself when he was drunk."
