Doherty skips court appearance

Pete Doherty missed a court appearance reviewing his drug rehabilitation after being held up in France.

Thames Magistrates Court was told the star was stuck in Paris, where his band Babyshambles had played the night before.

After admitting drug charges in March he was put on a year-long rehabilitation programme that requires monthly check-ups and monitoring in court.

Extra police were on duty outside the court to prevent a repeat of the mayhem that occurred after his last appearance.
