Campbell confirms "date" with Cipriani

Jesinta Campbell has revealed that her recent night out with Danny Cipriani was a "date".

The Miss Universe Australia, who was spotted "all over" rugby player Cipriani in Melbourne's Eve nightclub on Saturday night, said that it is early days and she is going to "wait and see" if a relationship develops.

Campbell told The Daily Telegraph: "We went on a date, I'm still in contact with him so we will wait and see what happens." She also revealed that she first met Cipriani "months ago" but it has taken them a long time to organise a night out together.

The sports star was romantically linked to Australian singer Tamara Jaber shortly after the breakdown of her marriage to Kyle Sandilands last year. Before that, he dated British model and actress Kelly Brook.

Brook, who recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child with Thom Evans, reportedly ended her relationship with Cipriani because his female admirers became "too much" for her.

Last year, Campbell approached radio star Eddie McGuire to help her find a date for the Brownlow Medal event. He set her up with set her up with Hawthorn footballer Brad Sewell but he later cancelled due to food poisoning and Sam Newman's son Geordan stepped in.
