The Two And A Half Men actor, who is currently touring his live theatre show My Violent Torpedo of Truth: Defeat Is Not An Option, asked Nova breakfast show host Dooley to be a moderator and interviewer during the live shows.
Dooley, who first met Sheen last month when they made a short film together, told The Daily Telegraph: "He's called and asked me to be the moderator-interviewer for his Atlanta, Tampa and Fort Lauderdale shows and I'm going - I don't know how long I'll be with him because I have to get back to work.
"I have no idea what I'm meant to be doing but I'll have to learn quickly as my flight arrives just before the show."
Sheen reportedly told Dooley that the tour, which sees him being interviewed by various broadcasters, has been a "friggin' odyssey" and "more intense" than anything he has done before.
The star was grilled by comedian Jeffrey Ross in his Atlantic City show last week, during which he admitted that Two And A Half Men "hammered" him.
Sheen lost his bid for sole custody of his twin sons Max and Bob earlier this week after his former wife Brooke Mueller checked herself into rehab.
