Dame Helen Mirren "feels" for Kate Middleton

Dame Helen Mirren has revealed that she "feels" for Kate Middleton.

The actress, who won an Academy Award for her performance in The Queen, said that she believes the "stress" of the Royal Wedding must be a lot for Middleton to cope with.

Mirren told OK! TV: "I do feel for [her]... the stress of all of that must be so huge and my heart does go out to Kate. Queen Kate, I love the idea of Queen Kate... They're a lovely couple."

She also revealed that she will be watching the ceremony on April 29, saying: "I'm not quite sure where I'll be, but I know wherever I am it will be on the telly.

"It doesn't matter where I'll be... you know, Bulgaria... the countryside, there will be a little pub with the wedding on. Everybody all over the world I guess will be glued to it.

Mirren recently admitted that she considered "bribing" people to get an invitation to the nuptials, saying: "I even tried finding a way in over the back of the Abbey... I've even tried to get myself an Archbishop of Canterbury outfit because I thought I might kidnap him and do the actual ceremony, because I do a lot of these gender-bending roles."

Earlier this year, the star revealed that winning an Oscar was "one of the most amazing experiences" of her life.
