Chantelle Houghton 'learned of split on Twitter'

Friends of Chantelle Houghton have claimed that she only found out she had been dumped by Rav Wilding when he broadcasted it on Twitter.

The 27-year-old Celebrity Big Brother contestant, who had been dating Crimewatch presenter Wilding for six months, was said to be "utterly shocked" when she read his posts on the microblogging site.

The couple were spotted having an "aggressive" argument in Richmond Park last week, shortly after which Wilding Tweeted that they were "no longer in a relationship".

Houghton's friend told The Sun: "In her mind she was really upset and obviously trying to work out what the hell happened that day in the park. The she finds out she has been dumped on Twitter. She was utterly shocked. Finding out in that way wasn't nice."

His friends have hit back at the claims, saying: "Suggestions that Chantelle didn't know the relationship was over and only found out on Twitter are absurd and ridiculous.

"Rav called it off at the picnic, and he sent her texts and tried to call for four days after to check she was okay but Chantelle didn't reply. She didn't even contact him when the photos emerged last weekend which is strange if she was the loving girlfriend she proclaimed to be."
