LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian get married

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian were married yesterday with a surprise wedding in California.

People confirms that the couple wed in a small ceremony attended by around 40 family and friends, including Cibrian's two sons from his previous marriage to Brandi Glanville.

"LeAnn and Eddie were happily married today surrounded by their closest family and friends," a statement from the couple said. "They thank everyone for their well wishes."

Rimes had reportedly refused to set a date for the wedding until she reached eight stone and a UK dress size six (US ten).

Cibrian and Rimes announced their engagement in December last year, after beginning their relationship with an extramarital affair while filming for a television movie in 2009.

It was initially believed that the couple planned to have their wedding ceremony today, but instead surprised their guests by exchanging marital vows at what had only been described as a 'celebration of their engagement'.
