The American Idol winner spoke to E! News about his obsession with recycling, stating that he barely throws anything out.
"I'm a recycling nut," said Cook. "I don't think I have trash cans anymore - just recycling bins."
Cook went on to reveal that he tries to recycle as much as he can.
"I try to be as green as possible across the board, but especially with recycling in my house," he said. "Paper, plastic, magazines - I recycle everything."
Cook recently revealed that he is planning a second album, which is expected to be released on June 28. The star debuted a song from the album on American Idol last Thursday.
American Idol airs Wednesdays and Thursdays on Fox.
