The Beady Eye frontman, who recently called social networking site Twitter "rubbish", branded chairman Mohammed Al Fayed's display "ridiculous".
He told Football Focus: "It's a bit silly, isn't it? It could be worse, it could be Justin Bieber - but then it wouldn't be that high, would it?"
Speaking to the Irish Times, the former Oasis star revealed that Beady Eye's second album will be ready within months.
He explained: "The other big difference between Beady Eye and Oasis is that we're not going to put the ball down, sit around in a big house and go 'we're great'.
