Orlando Bloom: 'Fatherhood is amazing'

Orlando Bloom has professed that becoming a father has been one of the most rewarding experiences of his life.

In January, the actor and wife Miranda Kerr welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Flynn.

Speaking to reporters at the Tribeca Film Festival, the British-born actor beamed that his son is doing well.

"He's my boy, he's amazing," Bloom said.

The star, who married Kerr last summer after two years of dating, also explained that having to care for a child has helped to put all his other worries into a new perspective.

"Everything you know, all the things that you thought were important, drift into the background," Bloom added. "And even things that were important really come to the fore, and he's one of them."

He previously suggested that becoming a parent for the first time has changed his life forever.

Bloom returns to the big screen alongside Rob Morrow and Taraji P Henson in The Good Doctor, which is expected to be released later this year.
